  • Broken Wheat (Dalia) - 1 cup
  • Brown Rice - 0.5 cup
  • Urad Dal - 2 tbsp
  • Fenugreek seeds - 0.5 tbsp
  • Salt (namak) - 0.5 tsp

Steps to prepare Brown rice and cracked wheat dosa

  1. Wash the rice and the dal and soak them together with the fenugreek seeds for 2 hours.
  2. Grind this mixture along with the cracked wheat, salt, and enough water into a fine mixture.
  3. The batter consistency should be that of a dosa batter.
  4. Transfer the batter into a container and let it sit for around 8 hours to ferment and prepare dosas the usual way.
