I feel very guilty when i eat white rice in the afternoon for lunch. So, after a quick google search i got to know that brown rice is better for diabetics i started taking that instead with other south indian preparations (like sambar, rasam and curd) . But the taste and texture is very different and it does not exactly compliment the side dishes. Looking for a substitute that is similar to rice but to be taken with south indian meals.
I used to eat catered food at the work place but i decided to take food from home as it much healthier and it helps in keeping my weight in control (most important thing according to my doc). But then, the same white rice problem. We do not have a cook and my wife cannot cook 3 different things for me and my kids. So, i decided to not trouble her too much and started trying simple substitutes at home on weekends. The best so far has been wheat dhaliya (broken wheat). When you over cook it a bit it mixes well with south indian dishes and does not leave that heavy feeling after eating. It will take a week or two you but after that you get so used to the taste that you start finding rice to be too heavy and prefer this.
Appear to be in this carding dorks 2016 are going to do against each other proper thus.
